Inside Young Hall 89 places

The home of UCLA's Chemistry and Biochemistry departments, Young Hall is named for William Gould Young, a renowned professor of chemistry and dean of the Division of Physical Science at UCLA during his 40 year tenure.

Alongside the Chemistry Instructional Computer Lab and the Science Learning Center Computer Lab, there are 6 general assignment classrooms in Young Hall, the three largest being CS 24, capacity of 239, CS76, which seats 229, and CS50, which seats 352.

A common legend told about Young Hall, is that psychology students could predict students' grades based on which of the five archways students would enter the building through, students entering through the north archway more likely to receive A's than those who lingered and waited to enter the building in the southern most opening.
